2011 Cesar Award for Best Sound Goes To Gainsbourg Biopic

Merging Technologies in Puidoux, Switzerland, announces that the 2010 film Gainsbourg (Vie héroïque), a biopic about French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg (1928-1991), won France’s 2011 César Award for Meilleur Son (Best Sound). The award went to sound engineer Daniel Sobrino, mix engineer Cyril Holtz and sound editor Jean Goudier, who worked on Soundstage 9 at the Auditorium de Boulogne for the final post-production mix using Merging’s Pyramix digital audio workstation.
